General Questions

  • How do I subscribe / unsubscribe?

    • To subscribe: Download Clarymind and complete your purchase directly through in-app purchase.

    Clarymind offers unconditional refunds if you're not satisfied within 30 days of purchase.

    • To cancel subscription: Go to iPhone > Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions, and cancel your subscription.

    After canceling your Pro plan subscription, you will continue to have access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After that, you will revert to the free plan.

  • What to do if Clarymind crashed?

    When you encounter this issue, please make sure you have downloaded the latest version of Clarymind. Each update improves performance and reduces the chances of crashes.

    Common reasons for Clarymind crashes include:

    • There's a bug in the app. In this case, please let us know via email (contact@clarymind.com) or Discord.

    • Insufficient phone storage

      Go to "Settings" > "General" > "iPhone Storage" to check your storage.

      If your phone has less than 8GB available, it may experience crashes. Below 3GB, crashes are most likely. It's recommended to have 8-10 GB of available storage space for smooth experience of Clarymind.

    • Low memory (RAM): Newer iPhone models generally have more RAM, reducing the likelihood of crashes due to low memory.

    If none of the above works, contact us via email (contact@clarymind.com) or Discord. We will investigate and fix the issue ASAP.

    To help us diagnose the issue, please provide:

    • Actions you were taking before the problem occurred
    • Your iOS version number
    • Your phone model
  • What devices and platforms is Clarymind available on?

    Clarymind currently supports only iPhones with iOS 16 and above.

  • Is Clarymind free?

    Some features of Clarymind are free. You can download it to see if it suits you before unlocking all the features.

    Clarymind offers paid features with both monthly and yearly subscription plans.

  • How can Clarymind benefit my daily routine and overall well-being?

    Clarymind helps you manage your daily routine and screen time. We also recommend spending 15-30 minutes daily on meditation and breathing exercises to enhance well-being.

    Using Clarymind for a week can yield these benefits:

    • The app blocker reduces social media time, potentially freeing up 30 minutes to 1 hour each day.
    • Increased emotional awareness, reduced anxiety, and enhanced well-being.
    • Better sleep quality through improved device habits, meditation, and breathing exercises.
  • I’m having a mental health/medical emergency, who can I contact?

    Clarymind is not a replacement for professional medical care. If you are experiencing a mental health or medical emergency, please contact emergency services or go to the nearest hospital.

  • How can Clarymind help with sleep?

    Clarymind offers sleep music, white noise, and guided meditations specifically designed to help you fall asleep faster and enjoy deeper, more restful sleep.

  • How does Clarymind help with anxiety relief?

    Studies show that excessive social media usage is linked to anxiety. Clarymind offers screen time management tools that can restrict social media usage, further reducing anxiety triggered by social media.

    Clarymind also provides breathwork techniques, guided meditations, and positive affirmations to help reduce stress.

  • Can Clarymind replace professional mental health treatment?

    No, Clarymind is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment. If you need professional help, please consult a licensed healthcare provider.

  • What makes Clarymind different from other self-care apps?

    Clarymind integrates various self-care tools into one app, such as screen time management, guided meditation, breathwork techniques, sleep music, and affirmations. Our goal is to make these tools accessible and enhance well-being for all.

Focus / Screen Time Management

  • Why didn't the app lock automatically when the set time arrived?

    This issue happens when using Clarymind with other screen time tools simultaneously, including the iPhone built-in ”Screen Time / App Limits.“

    Both tools rely on the same system timer, and conflicts can arise when multiple apps set the timer simultaneously, leading to errors or unexpected unlocks.

    To prevent this problem, use only one tool to set restrictions for each app. For instance, you can restrict Instagram with Clarymind and other apps with the iPhone's Screen Time, but avoid using both tools for the same app.

  • Why do I get a ”Grant Screen Time Permission“ prompt every time I open Clarymind?

    This occurs when you set Clarymind to lock apps but later revoke its "Screen Time Permission." Without this permission, Clarymind cannot lock the apps.

    To resolve this, you can either:

    • Grant "Screen Time Permission" to Clarymind to enable app locking; or
    • Delete your previous app lock settings. This way, no apps will be locked, and the "Grant Screen Time Permission" prompt will stop appearing.
  • I don't want any third party to know which apps I use. Can I still use Clarymind's Focus feature?

    Clarymind does not access information about your apps or which ones you choose to lock. Your information is protected by Apple. iOS is responsible for providing the app names and icons, while Clarymind only accesses encrypted keys.

    This is also why you'll need to open the app yourself after unlocking it. Clarymind doesn't know which app you want to open.

  • Why do I see a white screen or a broken layout when selecting an app to lock?

    When selecting an app to lock, the screen shows a list of apps on your phone. This list is entirely managed and displayed by iOS, and Clarymind has no control over it.

    If you encounter a white screen or a broken layout on this page, please tap the "X" at the top right and re-enter the app list page. This should resolve the issue.

  • How many apps can I block with Clarymind?

    Free plan users can block 1 app, while Pro plan users can block up to 50 apps, which is the limit on iOS.

Meditation & Breathwork

  • How can I use the meditation timer?

    The meditation timer in Clarymind allows you to customize your meditation sessions with specific durations, background music, and starting and ending sounds.

    Additionally, you can turn on ”Guided Meditation“ feature to enjoy a personalized session generated based on your chosen duration, voice and one of the three techniques: breath / body scan / visualization.

  • How does the AI-guided meditation work?

    The AI-guided meditation offers a personalized experience by generating a guided meditation script based on your chosen duration, voice, and one of three techniques (breath, body scan, visualization).

    You can activate the 'Guided Meditation' feature in the meditation settings to try it out.

  • What types of breath work techniques does Clarymind offer?

    Clarymind offers four breath work techniques: Better Sleep (4-7-8), Calm (4-6), Energize (4-2), and Box Breathing.
